On July 14 offsite meeting of Managing Centre of power objects preparation for 2014 Winter Olympics was held in Sochi guided by Shishkin Andrey, Deputy Energy Minister of the Russian Federation. Chief Managers of “IDGC Holding”, JSC and “Kubanenergo”, JSC (managing company - Open Joint Stock Company “Interregional Distribution Grid Company of the South”) made reports on implementation of technological connection of Olympic objects and schedule for financing and construction of Olympic power objects.
Sannikov Aleksey, Deputy General Director of “IDGC Holding”, JSC, Arkhipov Sergey, CEO of “IDGC of the South”, JSC, Pestov Dmitry Managing Director of “Kubanenergo”, JSC took part in the meeting.
They favourable viewed the Program of Olympic objects construction and development of Sochi as mountain climatic resort adopted by the Russian Federation Government Decree No.991 dated December 29, 2007.
Within the work trip 110 kV “Vishnevaya” substation and district dispatcher center of Sochi power grids were checked. Putting into operation of the “Vyshnevaya” substation can provide technological connection between under construction objects of federal M-27 “Dzhubga-Sochi” highway and two new city road junctions. Dispatcher centers can help to control effectively the equipment operation of the whole Sochi power grids.
In general, 8 substations are planned to be built and reconstructed by 2014 Winter Olympics. Besides, almost 200 km of over-head power lines will be reconstructed and 690 cable lines will be laid.
