Sergey Arkhipov, CEO of “IDGC of the South”, JSC: “IDGC of the South”, JSC supports investment plans of Astrakhan region

On July 23, Sergey Arkhipov, CEO of “IDGC of the South”, JSC was on business trip in Astrakhan region. He conducted negotiations with Aleksander Zhilkin, the Governor of the region, and Mikhail Stolyarov, Astrakhan vice Mayor.

Meeting with Aleksander Zhilkin, the Governor of Astrakhan region was the first item of Sergey Arkhipov ’s busy schedule. The Head of the region greeted important guest and paid his attention to the fact that regional authorities highly appreciate the role of power industry in social and economic development of Astrakhan region.

Nowadays Astrakhan branch of “IDGC of the South”, JSC is one of the most large-scale companies of the region – said Zhilkin A. It provides secure and qualitative power supply for almost all residents and companies of the region. Besides, construction of some big community areas is in progress here. Therefore, the Governor hoped that “IDGC of the South”, JSC substantial investment program in regions of its responsibility scope including Astrakhan region will be fully implemented.

First of all, according to Zhilkin A., these measures are necessary for gradual movement of regional economy which successfully overcame world financial crisis and continues its development. Mostly, this economy is based on creation of new industries including hydrocarbon production plants and agriproduct processing companies in Enotaevsky, Limansky and Khabalinsky districts.
The Governor said that new plants will need great electric power capacity. “Astrakhanenergo”, JSC branch, the strategic partner of Astrakhan region, should actively participate in this project.

Arkhipov S. assured the Head of the region that “IDGC of the South”, JSC executives completely support social and economic plans of Astrakhan government. The Head of the Company said: “That’s why we will do our best to provide stable and secure power supply as well as develop power grid complex. These activities will help to implement regional investment projects and meet all needs of increasing number of Astrakhan consumers”.

It is a reminder that this year on July 8 Sergey Aleksandrovich Arkhipov was elected CEO of “IDGC of the South”, JSC by the Company’s Board of Directors. It was his first meeting with regional authorities within responsibility scope of power grid company. The choice of Astrakhan Governor was not made by chance. Zhilkin A. always paid attention to such problems as quality enhancement and development of regional power grid complex. It is worth mentioning that Zhilkin A. made Astrakhan the first Russian region which transferred to new RAB-method regulation system.

The participants of the meeting had constructive dialogue. They agreed to continue future mutual work between “IDGC of the South”, JSC and Astrakhan government. It will help to speed up the process of power grid complex creation. This complex can meet the needs of all power consumers. “IDGC of the South”, JSC, in its turn, will also do its possible to provide normal functioning and continue development of regional power grid complex.
